MOLAXOLE – New product for the treatment of chronic constipation

C.G. Papaloisou is introducing MOLAXOLE^® powder for oral solution (macrogol 3350), a laxative for the treatment of chronic constipation, developed and marketed by the Swedish pharmaceutical company MEDA AB.

Molaxole is a so-called osmotic action laxative which acts by retaining water in the large intestine. The active substance macrogol is physiologically inert and is not absorbed from or metabolized in the gastrointestinal tract. This softens the stools and facilitates their passage.

Molaxole is marketed in packs of 20 sachets.
